The job called for a software engineer who, as a plus, they'd like to have experience developing mobile games.

As Nirolak pointed out the job listing was for the Incubation Department which is for new games and was certainly nothing to do with Hearthstone.

By speculating, the discussions in the forum moved between the two likeliest topical candidates: Overwatch and StarCraft. Whilst there will obviously not be any ports of the popular games any time soon, base-builders, tower defenders, or more CCGs would be quite likely.

So what do you guys think? Let us know in the comments below.

Good morning and happy New Year one and all. I may be a little late to the punch here but the recent launch of Klei's watery expansion, Don't Starve: Shipwrecked, definitely deserves a quick newsy mention.

Coming directly from the belly of Don't Starve, in Don't Starve: Shipwrecked you find yourself stranded on an island surrounded by water. The aim of the game is exactly as before - try not to die for as many days as you possibly can.

The twist here is that you've got new monsters to survive against, new terrain to explore, and new worlds to discover. Build a raft, gather supplies, take care when you're out at sea, and watch out for the rising tide as the seasons go on.

Grab Don't Starve: Shipwrecked now on the App Store for £3.99/$4.99. Though I've got no doubt it'll head over the Android, we don't know when that might be so keep an eye out.

Goodness me it's Thursday already somehow and here we are again. I've drunk a lot of coffee, my cat just ran full-pelt into my shower door, and it's time to shout out about what's newly released this week.

You'll notice that the Nintendo hiatus is over. Yes, new Switch games are back on the menu - especially this week where the mobile releases haven't been particularly plentiful. That could just be because no one wants to release during Gamescom, but who knows?

Either way, let's have a look at what you could be sinking into this weekend.

One of the best adventure titles of 2016 – Mimpi Dreams – has just received a massive new update which alters the original monetization model and adds a brand new episode.

For those not in the know, Mimpi Dreams is a relaxing adventure title about a very lazy dog who becomes the "Superdog" whenever he dreams.

In terms of gameplay, you can expect a mix of point and click style exploration and some light puzzling for good measure. The original release saw much critical and commercial success, with over 2.5 million players around the world.

Devolver Digital is back with another mobile port. This time around they're bringing adventure rogue-lite The Swords of Ditto over to Apple Devices. It will be available for iOS on 24th October.

Already available on the Switch, where we reviewed it earlier this year, The Swords of Ditto is an action RPG where you play as numerous adventurers in a relentless fight against Mormo. Each time you die you'll start again as a new hero and the successes and failures of your previous character will affect the next in line.

How you tackle the game is up to you, you can immediately go and find Mormo and try to defeat her if you wish, though it'll likely end in your own demise. Alternatively, you can make use of the limited days you'll have in the game to level up, get new equipment so that you can be as prepared as possible for the final showdown with Mormo.

The cutesy art style of the Swords of Ditto extends to the weapons you can find as well. Alongside your usual sword and bow, you'll also be able to use a vinyl record or a golf club as weapons. To gain new perks and get buffs for your hero you'll have to collect stickers. It's all very wholesome so I hope the game translates well to phones.

Devolver Digital have always been big supporters of mobile. This year alone they've ported Gris over to iOS as well as releasing numerous games specifically for phones. Witcheye and their plethora of Apple Arcade games such as Exit the Gungeon and Cricket Through the Ages show they're committed to the platform. And they publish great games, so it's a wonderful they release so many.

The Swords of Ditto will be available on the App Store on 24th October and you can pre-order now if you'd like. It'll be a premium game that will cost £5.99/$5.99.
Check out our news section to discover the latest, and greatest, games.
