Telltale has revealed that the next episode of Minecraft: Story Mode is set to land on the App Store and Google Play Store on August 15th.

The second episode of Season 2, which goes by the name Giant Consequences, sees Jesse and the rest of the crew heading out into some icy wastes. And as you can probably tell from the title, there's a giant involved too.

And if that wasn't enough Minecraft: Story Mode news, Telltale is also gearing up to release the complete first season of the game on Nintendo Switch.

You'll be able to pick Minecraft: Story Mode - The Complete Adventure either as a digital download or a physical cartridge thing.

It contains all eight episodes that came out prior to Season 2. So that's all of Season One, as well as the bonus episodes from the Adventure Pass add-on series.

That'll be hitting shops on August 22nd. So Really it's a pretty damn busy month if you're a fan of Minecraft and stories.
Ink would have seemed more black and damned here!

Apple added widgets to the iPhone and iPad with iOS 8. These let you access pertinent information from apps direct from the notification center, without having to boot anything up.

And now some bright spark has built a widget-based game. Inevitably it's a version of 2048, and you can play it simply by dragging down your notifications bar from the top of the screen.

We're not big fans of 2048 and its billions of clones here at Pocket Gamer, mainly because it borrowed from and ultimately overshadowed the much, much better Threes!

But it's still nice to see people trying something a little different with the new functionality of the iPad and iPhone.

You can download 2048 in Widget! for 69p / 99c [buy] from the App Store right now.

And while you're there, why not consider splurging on Threes! [buy], it's much better, and right now a purchase will help fight AIDS.
TouchArcade
